Downsview Group was referred to NGEN after being impressed by the rebranding work done for the Conelco Group. They had enjoyed a similar success story of fast growth and diversification, resulting in four subsidiaries that looked different, and lacked a single, unifying brand platform, with combined and coherent brand messaging. As a result, Downsview Group was not recognized for its size, its capabilities or the complete suite of services it offered.
NGEN created a brand architecture that aligned the subsidiaries belonging to the same master brand, with a visual commonality that made all companies appear mature, trustworthy and professional. The new corporate identity system presents the Downsview Group as a unified entity offering linked special services comprised of 4 key utilities (gas, HVAC, electrical and plumbing), and enables them to take advantage of any cross-selling opportunities, so that they can present an entire suite of solutions to the housing industry from any of its sub-brands.
